Tanvi Sharma began playing  badminton at age five in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, guided by her athlete mother and government officer father.

Trained at Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad with her sister Radhika,  also an international player.

She is the first Indian to win U-15,  U-17, and U-15 mixed doubles gold, plus U-19 singles silver, in a single National Championship (2022).

She won the Bonn International 2024 and Denmark Challenge 2025 singles titles

She was a member of India’s gold-medal-winning squad at the  2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships.

In 2025 she became the youngest Indian ever to reach a BWF  World Tour final (US Open Super 300, 2025).

She defeated four top-60 ranked players in one tournament  (US Open 2025).

She achieved the No. 1 world  junior ranking in women’s singles at age 16.
